Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026 — Open Beta
1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or activating a license for Micro BI, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the software.
2. What Micro BI is
Micro BI is self-hosted business intelligence software that you deploy and run on your own infrastructure. We provide the software and a license activation service; we do not host, access, or manage your installation or the data inside it.
3. Beta access
- During the open beta, license keys grant full "Pro" tier access at no cost.
- The beta is provided for evaluation and feedback purposes. Features may be added, changed, or removed without notice.
- We do not guarantee any level of uptime, support response time, or data durability during the beta — this includes our license activation server, which beta participants depend on to activate and renew their license.
- When the beta concludes, your license may transition to the Free tier (with reduced limits) unless you purchase a Pro subscription at that time. We'll aim to give reasonable advance notice by email before this happens.
- We may reset, reissue, or revoke beta license keys if needed to operate the beta program (for example, to fix a licensing bug).
4. Your data
Everything you upload, connect, or generate inside your Micro BI installation is yours, stays on your infrastructure, and is your responsibility to back up. We strongly recommend regular backups of your database and file storage, especially during the beta. See our Privacy Policy for what limited data we do collect (license activation details, beta signup email).
5. No warranty
Micro BI is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. You are responsible for evaluating whether it's suitable for your use case before relying on it for anything business-critical.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Micro BI, including data loss, business interruption, or lost profits — particularly during the beta period.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use Micro BI to violate applicable law, attempt to circumvent the license activation system, or resell/redistribute the software without our permission.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product moves from beta to a commercial release. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do, and material changes affecting beta participants will be communicated by email where possible.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Poland.
